How to perform it
- 1Start in a plank position with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- 2Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- 3Lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows to roughly 45 degrees.
- 4Press back up to the starting position without locking out hard.
Form tips
- Brace your core throughout
- Keep your neck neutral — look at the floor just ahead of you
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips sag
- Flaring elbows out to 90 degrees
- Partial range of motion
