How to perform it
- 1Stand with mid-foot under the bar, feet hip-width apart.
- 2Hinge down and grip the bar just outside your legs.
- 3Brace your core, keep a flat back, and drive through the floor to stand tall.
- 4Lower the bar by pushing your hips back, keeping it close to your body.
Form tips
- Keep the bar dragging close to your shins and thighs
- Set your lats before you pull
Common mistakes
- Rounding the lower back
- Jerking the bar off the floor
- Hyperextending at the top
